Presenting the Seaham Shared Pathways to Council and NPWS
On 10 May 2021 we met with Port Stephens Shire Council and National Parks and Wildlife on-site at Seaham Swamp, to present the pathways concept to discuss how best to move the project forward and bring it to life. We presented a draft proposal for the project along with a concept for a history map sign that Dad and I had been working on shortly before he passed away. Council and NPWS kindly donated their time to meet with us and will now look at the proposal in further detail to assess feasibility. They will be in touch with suggestions on how best to progress this, which could include a mix of work by NPWS, Council and volunteers, along with seeking grant funding for further works. Here are a couple of photos from our meeting and the concept for the history sign. Thank you again for your support – it means so much to us all. We’ll keep you posted as we move forward.
